My Journey to Empowering the Feminine. In 2020, my life changed in ways I could never have anticipated. An intense awakening shook me to my core—physically, spiritually, and emotionally. It was a time of profound transformation, one that led me to the darkest corners of my soul. But through the shadows, I discovered the light, and in that light, I found the strength to rise again.

As I navigated my journey toward enlightenment, life tested me in ways that seemed unbearable. I faced a divorce that shattered my sense of stability, mourned the loss of a pregnancy that I had held so close to my heart, and grieved the passing of my soul animals who had been my loyal companions. I found myself entangled in a toxic, narcissistic relationship that eroded my self-worth and endured breakups that left me feeling isolated and vulnerable.

There was even a point where I suffered a nervous breakdown, convinced that I would never find my way back to the surface. But somehow, in the depths of that pain, I found a way to alchemize it into power.

I realized that the very darkness I feared held the key to my rebirth. Through somatic therapy, I learned the importance of pausing, reflecting, and nurturing myself. I turned to plant medicine, seeking wisdom from the earth to heal the wounds that had festered for so long. Retreat after retreat, I delved into my childhood trauma, moving it through my body, releasing it from the grip it had on my spirit. I committed myself fully to understanding the depths of my soul. I refused to show up as the victim any longer.

I chose to rise from the ashes like the phoenix, reborn in my own power. My past is one of struggle—of drug and alcohol addiction, of sex work, of physical and spiritual trauma, of loss and shame. But it was in that crucible of suffering that I found my calling. I realized I was meant to work with women, to bring us together so that we could help each other heal.

Healer, Yael Malkin of Phoenix Rising Retreats

The feminine has been silenced and diminished for far too long, and it’s time to reclaim our voices, our power, and our place in this world. My dedication to self-healing is not just for myself, but for all my sisters. Together, we can elevate the feminine, rising in our strength and unity. We can lead each other home to love, acceptance, and sisterhood. We need each other now more than ever. It’s time to rise in our power, to support and uplift one another, to become the goddesses we were always meant to be. Let us awaken, strengthen, and support the feminine, for the time of our ascension is here.

We are rising. We are powerful. We are one — Yael

  • “My experience at the revival goddess retreat was nothing short of amazing. It was the perfect combination of deep soul searching shadow work, emotional release and rest and relaxation. Yael has an incredible capacity to make everyone feel welcomed and to open up the space in a way that allows our sisters to feel safe to express, to be felt and to be seen. This weekend filled my heart with an unforgettable feeling of real connection and bonding with sisters, something I have been seeking for many yeats. Thank you Yael for holding space for us and encouraging and inspiring raw unfiltered expression from all of us.”

  • “Yael, thank you for the opportunity to “eat, pray, love… grow & heal". Your vision manifested into a beautiful reality that changed my view on things & opened windows….for me and everyone there this weekend.”

  • “Yael's Goddess Retreat was truly life-changing. For eleven years, I'd carried the weight of a past relationship. With this past partner I carried emotional numbness that had slowly suffocated my spirit. I arrived at the retreat feeling closed off to the world. But something shifted within me as the days unfolded. The gentle guidance of Yael, the shared vulnerability of the other women, and self-care practices - all of it began to chip away at the walls I'd put up around my heart. Through the soulful meditations, the heart-opening rituals, the expressive dance sessions, and the safe space for honest conversation, the anger workshop, I started to reclaim my voice. The tears that flowed, both bitter and sweet, were like a cleansing rain, washing away years of suppressed emotions. I learned to express my anger, sadness, love, all without judgment, allowing them to flow freely through me. I truly discovered my feminine side and how to love me. This retreat wasn't about forgetting the past, but about understanding its impact and then choosing to move forward with a renewed sense of self. I left the retreat feeling lighter, more open, and truly connected to the powerful goddess within me. It was a journey of self-discovery, healing for my wounded soul, and a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope for a new beginning.”
